Password resets are designed to be quick and safe — five minutes from "I forgot" to "I'm back in". The flow below is what most people see; the section after it covers what to do when something doesn't work.
01 The reset flow
- 1Click Forgot password on the login screen
Or open /forgot-password directly.
- 2Enter your email
The address you signed up with.
- 3Check your inbox
Email arrives within a minute. Click the reset link inside.
- 4Set a new password
Minimum 8 characters. Save.
- 5Log in with the new password
You're back in.
02 When the link expires
Reset links are valid for 60 minutes. After that, clicking the link shows an "Expired" screen with a button to request a new one. No penalty for requesting multiple times — the most recent one is the active one.
03 Picking a new password
- Minimum 8 characters. Anything shorter is rejected.
- A password manager helps. 1Password, Bitwarden, Apple Keychain — any of them. A generated 20-character password is stronger and easier than a memorized one.
- Don't reuse passwords. If another site leaks, your nouz account stays safe.
04 If the email doesn't arrive
The most common causes of reset emails not arriving: spam filter catching them, typo in the email address you entered (it has to match what you signed up with), or a corporate inbox filter blocking first-time senders. If you've waited five minutes and checked spam, request a second reset — sometimes the first email is genuinely lost in transit.
