The "can't add a second location" message is the plan cap doing its job — you're on Starter, which covers one location. Two paths forward: upgrade, or archive a different location to free up the slot.
01 Why the block
Plan caps are enforced server-side. Starter covers one location, Growth three, Pro five. Trying to add past your cap returns an upgrade prompt — not an error you can dismiss. See Location caps for the full table.
02 How to upgrade
- 1Click the upgrade prompt
Or open Settings → Subscription and click Change plan.
- 2Pick Growth (or Pro)
Growth covers up to 3 locations. Pro covers up to 5.
- 3Complete Stripe checkout
Prorated for the rest of your current billing period.
- 4Reload
New plan, new cap, ready to add.
03 Adding the second location
Once upgraded, go back to Settings → Locations and click + Add location. The form opens normally. Name, country, save. See Adding a second location for the full walkthrough.
04 Alternative: archive instead
If you have an old location you no longer use — say, a closed shop from last year — archive it instead of upgrading. Archive frees up its slot under the plan cap, so you can add the new shop without changing plan. Open the old location's settings, scroll to the bottom, click Archive.
